I've putting together a good fast road engine including

 Dellorto Twin 40's
 Blydenstein B+ Head
 Cam

What cam would be best for this setup? I'd more power between 2k/3k-6k. Whats best Piper or Kent stuff? What difference would a similar pulley make?

Any help is much appreciated!

Tom

Just been looking at the kent cam website, what difference do single or double valve springs make and which are best?

Would it be best to get hydraulic followers?

Any other good components to use?

double springs arent needed or a cam like the AST2. and yes hydraulics are best to keep, unless you intend to visit 7500K + on a regular basis lol

Stu, thanks for the info! I think after looking at the kent website the NVO61 will be the best cam with a 270 deg duration and the power band is 2000 - 6000. Here what is on offer bearin in mind I have a 1.4SR

the NVO series are suggested for use in injection models and that cam is uber mild so you migth aswell go for the AST2 since they all cost the same anyway. It idles fine aslong as the carbs are setup right etc. so no worries there

The thing is I've got the 1200 bly head but I have the 1.4sr bosch dizzy and the AST2 is for 1200/1300 engines. Can I get one for a 1400 since the cam wont match the dizzy will it?

It should be fine, i know what engine it says its for, but i run it in my 1.6 with a 1.4sr dizzy set up no problems.
