***November trip to the Nurburgring with pics***

Karl Rowntree and myself flew out to germany at the end of November 2005. We flew from Stanstead on Ryaniar. ?65 return fo the 2 of us! We hired a Merc while over there. The weather was fine here. But as we broke the cloud @ frankfurt - SNOW! Our worst nighmare. We had planned to go to the ring for 2 days and to stay with Karl Cousin in Kieserslauten for 2 further days. Heres a few pics of what we got up to -

Hire car frozen!

The roads were clear but when we got to the ring we found this

At Adenau the track was clear we couldnt understand why the track wouldnt be open for the weekend-

We decided to travel up to the 3km section called Hocheichen. This is what we found but first a little horse play-

As you probably can see we had a great time even though we didnt' "drive" the track. We went to the go-kart track. Mine and Karls fastest lap times were within 1/10 th of each other!

We went onto Kieserslauten and went out on the raz. Visited a American airbase (ramstein) where Karls cousins husband is based.

Had a wicked time.

Bring on the summer!

Havnt been on the site in ages due to work commitments, seeing this is a nice welcome back and ohh the memories :wink:

Must say i will never forget this trip, we must of been bloody mad! We made the most of what looked like a bad weekend, atleast we can say we have been to the nurburgring in the snow now :wink:

Did the usual and had a 'cook your own' steak at sebines and hit Brahaus for some sherbert and vodka! ( you will know what this is if you have done the trip, i bought 280 pacs to bring home with me lol)

I recommend to anyone getting a plane out there and then a hire car as it is THE cheapest way to experience the ring, just beware if you crash the hire car you are in trouble :lol: dont go if you cant afford to replece it! We were meant to be having a BMW but glad we didnt get it when we seen the snow.

Had an awesome time at my cousins, out on the town and sorting out my move over there soon. It was so nice with the snow down town drinking hot wine, wish we had taken the girlfriends..

Mr beason, i have one word to say to you and thats ' give ' , was an awesome trip and see you back over there soon :wink:

Yes flying and hire car is suprisingly easy. All booked though internet and ?30 to leave the car at Stanstead Lads and dads football club!

Word of warning, if you plan to leave your car at stansted dont go in a nice car! You should see the monkeys that take the keys off you to park it, via the M25...

Looks like a good few days away! Though about catching a plane over instead of taking the car over. experience it a different way i guess.
Less hassle as well then relying on a peice of shit nova TBH.

Looks like a superb trip lads. I dont think i'll take the nova out this year, i'm gonna save it untill 2007 and do the english show's instead. I really think i need a cage for next time incase i wrap the car lol

Cheers for all the comments guys, as you can see it doesnt matter how you get over there or what you do when there, you will still have a scream.

Everytime i go, the day I get back I plan when i am next going. It gets very adictive! So much so i will be living there, going to work out cheaper that way lol. Hope to see you all over there and theres room on my floor anytime.

Keith, yes I now have myself one of those blade things :lol: Shes costing me a fortune though so better get out of here soon.. No shes great, already looking forward to a trip out to Germany. She's not really into cars but enjoys a blast out in the evo on a weekend, and she bought me a ferrari for the day for xmas! Top lass :wink:
