Module stuff...

Im putting a 1.4 where my 1.2 was been told i need the module and a few extras, could someone explain in simple i am stupid way please? :D

on the 1400 carb models (sr/non sr) there is a coil/module unit bolted where the 1.2 coil sits. you need to get the module and the mini loom that goes with it, its a wide connector with 2 2way plugs for hooking up to the dizzy and the coil. and then 3 wires to the car loom. green is rev counter, black is switched live and brown is earth.

you mean the live and earth where the loom would normally connect to the ignition coil?

also i got a performance coil, the HT lead attaches to it aswell as upto two lives and earths, would it be possible to wire it to this instead and how??

i added a different coil to my 1.4 ign setup.

all i did was cut the connector off the loom that went to the coil (there will be 2 wires.... ones black the other is some other colour)

i hooked up the black to the + terminal and the other wire to the - terminal. not fired it up yet but im 99% sure its right. If nots then simply swap them over lol

:lol: thats exactly what i did with my old wires from the ignition, The two black wires go on the same side, which i think is positive (black from the live and black going to the live module) and pink going to the earth from the module.
