redtop engine number

alright folks. just put a red top into my nova,im looking at the v5 it says engine number,where on the engine will i get this number, does anyone know what all needs done informing the dvla on an engine change.cheers

isnt the engine number on a stamped plate welded onto the slam panel of the car its from?

not to sure mate. im sure that the engine number is usual stamped on the engine to thou

if you were looking at the engine when its in the car it is on the webbing of the engine at the front where the gearbox bolts up to

On my E16SE my engine number is stapped ontop of the front top of the block, on a little ledge before the head. Hard to explain.

might have to get a brush out and scrape away years of grime

its down the edge of the block where the gearbox bolts onto on 20xe's iirc
