View Full Version : L reg Nova
Hello everyone, new to the site!
Got a Corsa 2L16v but that is up for sale as I like Nova's more
Just a quick question. I've always thought that L reg Novas were pretty rare & sought after. Is this the case? Reason I ask is, there is one for sale for ?50 not far from me...

buy this nova , ?50, its worth it to say youv got an "L" reg nova , what engine is in it, condition etc .......
Yeah, a lot of L reg Nova Vans still about, aswell as 1.0/1.2's etc.
Very very hard to get a SR/SRi/GSi on an L though!
Its quite hard to get an SR on a K as most are SRi's, last time i looked, there were only 3 K plate SR's in the galleries, two of which are mine!
For ?50 tho its prolly shafted, the shell like.

a wud love a nova van!
never been any local ones come up though
Yeah it is an MOT failure on the bodywork, do you reckon it would be worth buying to fix up?
Or a bit of a lost cause, is an L reg really worth pouring a few hundred into?
depends what bodywork mate!
most things can be replaced fairly cheaply and easily if you have a welder and are good with the bodge (or have loads of moeny and get a body shop to do it)
but if its things that are rather hard to replace theres probably no pint when you can pick a decent shell up for under 100 now!
Agreed with novaco, if your willing to weld yourself/or minted, or simply looking for a nice long 1/2 year project an L reg would be good to do.
But if your not good at welding etc, you can get a decent 1.0/1.2 shell for peanuts now.

Buy it just so that you can transfer the plate onto a decent nova lol

not possible unless the nova its going on to is an L reg too.
however, buying and reshelling it, keeping its exiting ID opens a alot more options of personalised plates. ;)

I searched for ages for my L reg GSi, and then one turned up not far from me! 5 years on and i still love it to pieces, that bit more due to the reg.
?50? Get it bought i say, it's not much to loose is it if you decide it needs too much work.
Caroline.
Theres quite a few L-reg vans round here, and a few 5dr hatches.

Buy it then buy a decent nova, swap the plates and then inform the dvla that you have a new shell and a new engine.

And watch them issue it a Q plate.

...and then be unable to insure it until you're 55 and do 3 miles a year
