currently on the project sr, its lowered 30mm all round on 15s, but i want to put 40mm springs on the front and 60mm on the rear on 16s!

thing is, the back end, i cant even slide my fingers in between the wheel and arch, so how im gonna put 60mm springs on 16s i dont know!

if its too low then ill put the 40mm springs on the back as well!

was just wondering what drop everyone else has!

cheerz!

The offset of your wheels will determine if you can go any lower without grinding /folding the arch lip.

Offset (et) 49 is what you really want. It'll be stamped or cast into the inner part of the wheel. The lower the et number the further the wheels will stick out (in mm). As said 49mm is best, 45mm is OK any lower & you are going to have to grind the arches.

-60mm should be do able if the wheels fit right. In fact it is entirely possible, been done so many times. Its about using the correct bits.

thats summit i forgot to mention!

the rear arches have already been cut, as for the alloys, theyre 15 Dotz, ive never seen/heard of these alloys before, dont know the offset of them yet, i aint bothered to look, but as i was 16' allessios, on a 60mm drop, it will be ok?

bet you a pint of cats p**s that those Dotz wheels are the wrong offset.
Shouldve kept the allessio's.

these are 15s with a stupid drop, they dont catch and there is plently of room. It will depend on what offset your wheels are ect.. being as these are vaux ones they are near enough perfect.

My ET49 Vauxhall alloys rub my outer arch if i hit a big drop with someone in the rear seats.
My arches are standard, the car is lowered around 50/60mm.

I had a set of 16" 7J et45 alloys before these ones, and they wouldn't even go under the arch lip, lol.

Wheel and tyre width will also come into play as well

I've just sold my 16" speedlines to a chap who has lowered his Nova by 60mm and he has told me that they dont rub anywhere!

Bearing in mind that his Nova is internally stripped so there isn't any weight in it = it won't sit as low as a Nova with rear seats and sound deadening in!

there will be a fair bit of weight in the car, as in 4x subs, 2 amps, 1 power cap, 1 mini fridge, a shed load of mdf wood to make up the boot build and a spare wheel, i havent even thought about sound deadening yet!

thats a good bita weight lol

was there ever a difference in teh axels of novas? some longer and some shorter by a bit? or even in the body work itself, wider or narrower?

Only difference i can think is the mark2 novcas had slightly wider arches than the mark1
