256mm brake problem

Should the pads be a very tight fit when trying to fit the caliper onto the bracket?
Tight as in have to hit with a hammer to get the pad out the bracket? lol
I was assuming they should easily slide along the bracket cutouts to press on the disc?

yea there normally pretty tight because of the corrosion on the caliper

mine where like that i just cleaned them up then they went on nice.
i used a screw driver lol but i couldnt be bothered to move and it was at arms reach. :lol:

Hmm, ye.
I painted them whilst they were apart, i think the paint may be stopping the pads moving,lol.
