2.0 conversion help!!

heyy this would probly be a stupid question but ow well here i go..

i want to do a 2.0 conversion on a 1.0 nova

now can people tell me what bits do i need...

and what kinda engine do i go for i mean out of what car??

im dumb as fuck :( allow it lol anywayz yer help wud be great :)

basically get a complete car with your preferred engine. You will always need niggly little things, and most breakers still prefer to use gas torches to get stuff out, not much use for refitting.
Most nova places can do fitting kits.
Being GM, most things are designed to fit into loads of different vehicles, so half of the work is already done.

The 16v (XE) is 150bhp; 8v (SE) is 115bhp, 8v (SEH) 130bhp. 16v Turbo (LET) is 200bhp. Expect to pay from ?200-500 for an XE, ?100-250 for the 8v's, and ~?500 for a LET.

Best places to look are Astras, Cavaliers and Calibras, although you often find the engines for sale on their own (in the back of TV and on ebay usually).

You'll need the engine, gearbox, loom, mounts, driveshafts, and if its going into a 1.0 you'll also need a fuel tank from an injection nova. Its not a bad idea to weld up the engine bay to strengthen it, especially so if you want to tune the engine, or the bay is a little rusty.

hi guys my names dan new to this need a bit of advice thinking of putting a 2 litre 8v either the 130 bhp one or the 113 bhp engine the thing ide like to know what sort of 0 to 60 time do rechen id get from these engines by the way the reasen ive chosen 8v over 16v i know the 8 v a lot more having worked on them before any stats would be great cheers dan.
