whats the best/easiest way to tackle rust on rear arches ????
best = cut out and replace
easiest = ignore it
happy new year etc

right, i've never done any bodywork,
how'd i go about cutting it out ???
merry new year :lol:
hand it to a bodyshop and say "fix this please"
not a job I would attempt if youve got no bodywork experience at all

:lol: you lot are useless :P
if the rust aint bad you can get away with sanding it down and putting filler on it then spraying it and rust proofing to underneath.
if its bad, you could cut your arches and say they've been rolled :lol: aslong as the rust doesn't go up the panel
if its really bad and you need to replace the arches, then its the hand it to a bodyshop and say "fix it please" the old arch will need to be cut out and the new one welded etc so unless someones very good, don't bother
or you could sell it and by an astra :?
lol iirc it is an astra haha :lol:

mk2 or 3 astra? tbh both are quite awkward to get lined up properly if you're just patching them, as with nova's, it's a better idea to replace the whole quarter panel.
