Hi all,

Just wondered, what is the best way to remove the stickers (strips), from the side of the car, once its done can you notice that they been removed, does it leave horrid marks, or are they easily removed with T-Cut. Also how do you remove the letters from the back of the car, the words Vauxhall and Nova, is it true there are holes under the letters, if so whats the best way to hide them?

Reason I ask is I dont wanna go and do this and the car to be left with horrid sticky marks etc. Thanks for any info people, appreciate it :D

T-cut will do the job mate, and you'll be left with no messy marks.

The same goes for the rear badges....some cars do have these fastened on with nuts, so leave holes when you remove them, but the Nova ones (and all newer Vauxhalls ) are just stuck on, so no probs there ;)

make sure your doors have notbeen painted or youll end up with a line across your panel also use a hair dryer to warm up the sticker while u pull it off and use nail varnish remover to get the remaining glue off the panel then polish if needed to bring a shine back

I'm in the process of doing mine at the moment - The best bet is a hot air gun. Then they nore or less peel straight off, you will be left with a few sticky patches, but nothing T - Cut cant deal with. After I have done all mine Im having a full respray - so i dont have to bother too much about it leaving a noticeable colour difference. My mate has done the bits between the front and rear windows and the paint looks slightly different, because the original colour (RED) has faded slightly, but you shouldn't notice that much difference.

Removed my SR ones, door had been painted had to use cutting compound in an effort to match the 'step' that occured between the paint. Never was too happy with the finish but rolled it anyway so it really did look crap then.
