Rub em down , and paint em by hand . I used Hammerite gloss red on mine . In fact they came out so good they look almost pornographic- lol. Tis the easiest option.

You can therefore paint the front brake calipers the same colour ( use a wire brush and tons of solvent to clean the calipers before painting. Just go caredful , dont paint the holding pins or catches ( check Max powers haynes manual )should cost less than a tenner - the lot.

Cillit Bang is surprisingly good at removing crud from brake calipers, my mate ended up using this on his GTi6 lol

Paint them black.... imo painting them a bright colour just attracts the eye to the fact that you've got shit drums.

i have done many sets with black hamerrite, does the job nicely after a rub down :)

without a problem mate.

However the stuff does smoke nicely the first time you get it hot, but it still doesnt come off :lol:

err, no, if your going to paint your backbox, get hold of some high temperature paint. Halfrauds sell it i believe.
