View Full Version : how hard is it 2 make a roll cage fit with rear seats in

been offered a roll cage but its designed for no rear seats was thinking about weldind in some extra pipe or brackets n making it fit round rear seat

has any 1 done this

any pics ?

you could cut some of the metal backing of the seat to fit the pipes through?

one question why leave the seats in? defeats the object of having a cage.

and if you are adding bits on and bending it to make it fit, it wont work properly if you ever have to use it

no it doesn't, the point of a Roll cage is so the car roof doesn't cave in when it rolls, the backseats don't defeat any point, they just make fitting it harder :roll:

with a cage and back seats ur car will be that heavy and slow that it'l never roll :lol:

dude the cage i have is a full cage and i had the rear seats in fine

only ones that block rear seats are the ones that go to the shocker tops in the rear

so to enable fitting round rear seats i need a cage that bolts to rear seat belt mountings??

i have a bolt in roll cage that fits with the rear seats!

it bolts to the floor behind the front seats then onto then rear arches!

made by MPS!

obviously it hasnt got any diagnols in or anything as this would block the use of the rears!

ive got pics of it in the car but only with no seats as they have yet to be fitted!

as i had one and it was shocking bad,
