GRILL CHANGE (AGAIN)

Sorry im back again
In a topic about a MK 1 grill change i got told by Razorjack: 'You'll have the change the bumper AND grille, as they're all-in-one. They can be easily swapped...'
I was just wondering if anyone new if i could use a MK 2 grill and a MK 1 bumper together without having to modify (when i say to much hassle i dont mind doing something) to much.

dont think you would have to midify the bumper but u would have to change:

The wings
The Head lights and indacators if you want a mk2 grill!

i think iff you want a mk2 grill on a mk1 you just change the headlamps, i've seen a few novas that have mk2 grill but also have mk1 indicators.

But it will look strange IMO.

I didn't think the Mk2 grille sits right with the Mk1 bumper. In most of the examples I've seen its never quite straight... and you still get the indentation in the Mk1 bumper for the grille to sit in.

only very early mk1s had 1 piece grill an bumper the older model mk1 s

from g or f reg i think up 2 h (this is were some had mk2 face lifts) these have seperate bumper n grill

Mk1 all-in-one Y-D reg inclusive
Mk1 two piece E-H reg inclusive
Mk2 two piece H-L reg inclusive

(H reg was both Mk1 and 2)

i must admit i have tried fitting a GTE bumper to my mk2, and it constantly needs adjusting because it never sits right.

ive found a novadose kit that consists of bumpers, skirts and new grill. the thing is that the grill in the kit is a mk2 gril so im going to try and and put the bumper and the grill on without modding to much like Razorjack showed me.
ill put some pics up as soon as ive finished the bodykit and grill.
