any one got any tips on re-carpeting?

well im thinking of re-carpeting me car with black carpet.

but how would i go about getting the carpet to mould into the shape of the floor, espiecaly the front foot wells?

you cen buy carpet thats the same type as the stuff used in novas and just heat it using a heat gun and press it in place - its got a special name but cant think for the life of me what it is.

Alternatively find someone whos breaking an old GSi/GTE or similar that had the black carpet in.

Dont try dying it - you cant...think someone sprayed theirs wonce but it went all hard and crusty

the nova luxe came with an option of a black,blue or dark grey or a normal grey carpet... my girlfriend has a nova luxe with a 2ltr in it and it has a blue carpet in it as standard..... these are very hard to get hold of... she also has the factory fitted blue dash...:D:D:D

i didnt now a nova came out the factory with a blue dash even if it is rare as f**K.

dont know if that acoustic carpet would be any good or not for the floor.
iv used it on me rear 1/4 card and looks alright. but would it be up to the job of being on the floor?
what you all recon?

what shade of blue is the carpet, light, dark?

lol the blue carpet is horrid lol , so is the red version

as for the blue dash you can get mk1 and mk2 dash in blue

you can also get mk1 dashes in a shit brown colour lol


but black carpet was never offered as std on a nova

the gsi's came with a grey carpet aswell
