1.4sr running fault help

alright lads merry chrinbo. my mates got a prob with his 1.4sr its got a k&n bolt on and ashley systeam fitted but in the last week its started to cut out. some times right away some times it wont go above 30mph and misfiring. check the fuel its clean and plent of it in the tank never let it run below 1/4tank checked the carb fuel air mix and its fine. had new plugs leads rotor arm and cap fitted last week but still doing it. could anybody help.

Classic symptoms of carb icing, either put the origional filter back on or rig up a hot air feed from the exhaust manifold to the k+n.

bored up behind ur mesh grill leavin only a few inches to let the hot air out for traffic, keepin the hot air in, if this sorts it then its deff carb icing, then invest in a standard filter, i jus had this problem, works fine now, got my standard filter but aint even put it on yet coz i aint had a problem since my quick fix
