Hmm... considering a HID kit as seen on ebay here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XENON-HID-CONVERSION-KIT-H1-H3-H4-H7-H11-9005-9006-9007_W0QQitemZ8023017073QQcategoryZ72235QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem), either the 8k or 10k version... does anybody have any thoughts/comments/experiences of HID bulbs or conversion kits?

Is it wise to mix temperatures, so 8/10k for low beam and 6/8k for high beam?

Is ?155 a pair a fair price?

My mate owns a motor supplies shop and the trade price on most of the kits was ?200 plus

if you get a set let me know if they are worth it!

I have HID's on my evo, the qulaity of light from them is great, much better than normal lights.
Well worth doing in my opinion.

As for the cost, I paid ?97 for one bulb(that was from a mitsubishi main dealer though), so ?155 for a pair is probably a good deal!!

The bulbs are supposed to last a very long time, I had one fail as there was water getting into the headlight, it's all fixed now though :)

Thats the thing though - proper HIDs don't dazzle unless the headlight aim is out, much like halogens. In fact I find the light easier to look at than halogen bulbs.
