View Full Version : My Nurburgring lap
Hi guys,
I thought I would follow on from Jonboy and Keith by sharing with you a lap of me at the ring in sept.
Massive thanks to Bazza for hosting it for me.
A bit of background on the car, it is a stripped and caged '91 3dr, willwood front brakes avo coilovers and 15" wheels at the time it was fitted with a 1.6 gte engine, standard apart from an aftermarket exhaust. The BTB time for the lap is 9mins 40secs and there are 4 accidents which I have to slow down for (and karl hides the camera too!!!)

cracking peice of footage tho mate well done. might have to do the ring next year. which ring is yet to be seen. wouldnt prefer the german one to the arse ring of course lol
lol Cheers Chris, the lap wasnt supposed to be a quick one we were going out with the camera to make a 'funny' vid but I ended up trying so hard to catch the M3 it turned into quite a quick lap lol

Cracker man, took a dam week on 56k to get it but a good laugh. would love to go some time. that would be a good trip to organise as a mass nova gatherin lol think of the pics

Good lap time, some spirited driving there...
after watching the last few vids of you lads round the ring, im going to have to be careful, i drive my car much harder when im on a track, more like dar's style of driving,
wonder why i keep killing the engine on my nissan lol,
But you wouldnt do that at the ring or you would have a EUR3000 bill for the barriers, grass seed, recover, closed track and oil clean up. Look at my style from Donington (If Benji still has it hosted) and to there, Donny has run off and the ring doesnt.

you mean your not allowed to run wide every now and then,
harsh, never have done before but there are a lot of corners on the ring,
downloading the vid now,
the induction form a standard xe really does sound awful dont it,
the ring vid is a standard 1600, the donington one is a xe

If you run wide at the ring you WILL bounce off barriers
