my mates payin ?1400 TPFT for is G**F 1.6 driver, which i think is in the same insurance group (or close to it anyway). They only insured him coz its not a recognised performance car, and coz he's lied about mods and the immobiliser (or lack of it)Most "specialist" companys probably wont insure u either. Hope u havent brought the car already mate...

LMFAO...why go fully comp anyway? waste of money i rekon...just thinnk, the extra that u will be paying on insurance to be fully comp will probably be about half the cost of repairing the thing if u have a scrape with a bollard or summit (a situation where you would claim from the insurance)...TPFT i rekon.

By the way, everyone should try 'Associates' for thei insurance if u r over 19. My m8 has an XR2 (language!) and is paying ?1200 tpft with 0 NCB (basically he's a new driver)...thats pretty good! I've got another mate with a Nova GTE and he's paying ?1200 as well, and he's a new driver also.

I am so glad i got caught without insurance...not. I'm gonna be paying ?1000 tpft on a 1.2 mk2 nova (but the only good thing is it's from CIS who have accepted that my 1 years no claims on my motorbike does transfer to car insurance, and also i can make it look how i want and it won't affect my premium...they're V good at CIS....highly recommended)

Me & Ste were talking about insurance the other day, we reckon when you build up a few years no claims, then you really don't want to lose them. So why go fully comp? If you claim you lose them. In fact why even bother with fire&theft, just make sure no one nicks your motor.

Simple. My mate has a crash in his atsra he's tpf&t. The coppers turn's up and immediately puts the blame on the other guy. Other guy takes 6 weeks to produce his docs, then it takes 6 weeks for police to produce report to insurance company and they are still arguing over pricing of the vehicle even though he'd only had it ten days. In the mean time he's had to fork out ?400 recovery and storage costs and has had to do without a car for 3 months.

If he was fully comp he would have a new car now and not be out of pocket. Then the ins comp would have sorted the blame out with the other ins comp and he would still be able to keep his no claims.

After seeing what has happened to him i will only go FC if i can't afford the insurance then i can't afford the car.
