alright all,

going to have to change my break fluid in the next few days. i was just wondering what you'd reccomend? i've only used 4dot previously, having been made aware of 5dot silicone based fluid, i was wondering if this may be a better option?

i tend to like a pretty firm pedal and often found the nova a bit spongey (sp) compaired to either of the transits.

cheers

get some braided hoses on there, that will make them less spongy

think the higher the dot rates, the hight the boiling point or summit like that

cheers for that mate.

i'd heard something about lower compression loss due to a higher resistance to moisture absorption.

or i could be rambling.

cheers

Ive been told a good quality dot4 is a better bet than going for .5.1

and if you really dislike pushing your foot down a lot then fit a GTE/GSI master cylinder.

transits have farking huge M/S's lol.

Dot 5.0 cannot be used with anyother DOTs, you can mix 5.1 into 4 but its ill advised.

Just get a good DOT4 and bleed the system well.
