exhaust manifolds

is there a difference between a manifold for a 1.4 and a 1.6 gte?

i realise its gonna be a bigger bore(?) what i want to know, essentially, is will a gte exhaust (non standard, but aftermarket (janspeed etc)) fit on the missus' 1.4 flair?

gte, gsi, sri all the same, bar late gsi's and sri's will need a lambda sensor hole..

Yep, the SR is different.

I think SRI is different to GTE, as SRI downpipe will meet the CAT, whereas GTE wont as it dont have one.

You can fit any exhaust if you have the manifold to suit it.

i.e. you could fit a gte system with a gte downpipe and manifold
or sr system with sr manifold etc.

But you cant fit a GTE system with a SR downpipe/manifold.

Depending whether your nova is fuel injected or not will decide whether you need a manifold with a lambda sensor hole in it.

nah they are the same, the cat joins up same place as the front pipe on a gte

i was wondering which manifold to go for im putting an sri head on an sr would i get the sri manifold of sr because i think the ports are a different size

I realised after i wrote that post that the cat will just take the place of the front section of the exhaust, so its the same join whether it has a cat or not.

Oooops, i just re-read your first post and noticed you said MANIFOLD, and not manifold and downpipe :oops: lol

As Phil said, yes it will fit.
All 8v SOHC nova exhaust manifolds fit all 8v sohc nova engines.
