Ok guys, I have a 1.2i Nova, and it needs a new back box, this one is on ebay;

The guy says it wont fit mine, as it is for carb models, is he right?

If so what is the difference, the bore of the inlet? (The mounts look the same...)

i wuda thought it fitted thought cat was only diff on exhausts between carb n injected

All standard nova exhaust have the same bore size.
So a exhuast to a gte will fit a 1.2i etc

i know this is only a pic but that don't look like an nova exsust wroung shape and pipes on both end seam a bit short

Hmmm.....

He says it is for a Nova, just the carb models.

Anyone else shed any light?

if it is ashley and a standard middle section it will not fit as it is a different bore size. FACT. A standard nova exhaust is the same size, but ashleys is wider

You can buy just a Ashley backbox, which i assume has the bore size of a standard OE exhaust. So that would fit.
It depends whether the box was bought on its own, or its the backbox to a ashley system.

he prolby states carbs as its likely to be MK1s (ie hole in the bumper to side)
if u put it on a mk2 it will look a lil odd and possibly catch the bumper, only a small trim or large rubber mount needed to solve tho

I have a Power flow that will fit your car send your email or add my msn for pics novamad cars has 1st pick as he emailed me a while ago about it
but hasnt got bk 2 me yet

p.s its only done 2k and only taken off as i have a magnex system now :wink:

Thanks but no thanks mate - the back box was only going to be temporary as it was only ?2!

Am in the process of making a 2.5" bore straight through system for when I put the valver in!
