Been ringing around for another years insurance cover on my 1.2 Merit. The last year was a rip off and I hoped I could get a better deal, even though this time I'll be insuring it with alloys and -60mm suspension (hopefully). The best quote I've got so far is ?995 with Premium Choice.

I'm 18, with one years NCB and no points/convinctions etc. How does that quote compare to other young modified Nova owners on here?

Elephant/Admiral are pretty good for mods - I could put wheels, exhaust, suspension, sideskirts on my premium for about ?70. Not sure what they're like for younger drivers though.

Elephant quoted me ?813 with suspension lowered up to 5cm and refused to cover me with anything more than 5cm. Why don't anybody sell -49mm springs? :P

Next you'll be recommending not to bother with insurance. I prefer to do things legit or not at all.
Anyway, I've got a quote off Elephant for ?619 with alloys, -40mm suspension and rear spoiler. No point in invalidating my insurance for that much is it? :D
