Cheers, around 300bhp with full quaife straight cut box and atb diff, built the car from bottom including engine and bodywork. spent ??? on but worth it considering pushin a noble along the motorway on my way down to trax.

no not a sport mate originally sr,sport decals are diff colours and not in that style,jst like ma old school novas, as for the thing on the front its part ov the charge cooler system its running,theory being that they run cooler as water runs thru it constantly with the aid of a pump another cooler also inside engine bay, along with water bottle.lack ov space for the often large intercooler 2?

the quaife sccr gearset with the right final drive(f20 3.42 I believe) gets a topend about 140mph(195/50/15tires that is), that's enough in a nova imho :p

You can either use a helical output shaft and crownwheel (3.55, 3.72, 3.94 or 4.18) or you can order the quaife final drive for the SCCR kit with 4.2, 4.5, 4.85 or 5.18 ratios.. Plus you can get different ratios 5ths - 0.87 being the longest.

Top speed then depends on wheel diameter and what you rev it to.

My car with 195/55/15s, running 4.85 CWP and the shorter 5th is 112mph at 8200rpm but the same size wheels with a 4.2 and the long 5th gear would be 155mph

Yeah this is the thing; Mine's a 4.85 Final drive, but no idea on what 5th is because it's a second hand set and i've not fitted / even run it yet.

I guess on a R17 205 / 40, 8500 limit even the shortest 5th would be 120mph ~ which is ample tbh in the real world / track ( / most tracks).
