weber 32/34 on a 1.3 manifold would be better, 1.2 and 1.3 inlet ports are the same so it'll just bolt on, but jetting would need sorting on the rollers.
As long as the carb was off a 1300SR, then i would say that it would run fine on a 1200 using standard carb setup.

yep. You will need to plumb and wire in the autochoke which isn't hard, just a hassle. Especially when they go tits up and stay on.
Getting a manual choke conversion is a much better way.

Getting a manual choke conversion is a much better way.? what is needed for the convershion ?
also the nova that the 1.3 carb will be going on already has manual choke
and just wondering how much would i be looking at for a carb and manifold?

you get a kit to do the conversion. Ebay often has them or motor factors.
If its a standard 1300Sr carb then it has an autochoke.
Unless someone has already fitted a manual choke kit.
You should be able get carb and inlet for about ?20-?30.

make sure its a Pierburg 2e3 (twin choke) rather than a Pierburg 1b1 (found on pre-1985 engines).

any reason for this snowface?
any reason for this snowface?
Ye, the 2e3 has two chokes, so more air=more fuel, =more power out.

yeah, the 1b1 Pierburg is what the 1.2 has anyway.
dose the manifold mater if it came off a twin or single coke carb ? and are all later model carbs atuo coke

just dont end up getting one off a mk1 astra 1300 or you will end up with a varajet carb

Make sure its off a 1.3SR(not a 1.4SR) get the carb and manifold off the 1.3SR
and it will be fine on the 1.2carb engine.
A 1.2 uses a single choke carb, so the manifold isn't the same as the one for the 2e3 twin choke carb.

i think it was C-reg they changed the 1.3sr from a 1b1(single choke) to a 2e3 (twin choke).
And no a single choke manifold won't fit a twin choke carb and vice-versa.
