Well, today i've faught the elements, braved the wind and rain, and managed to drag my rally car out of the garage to do some work on it as next years ASWMC championship is approaching at quite a rapid rate of knots! To be honest i didnt have to do a great deal of work at the mo, due to the fact i cant afford it at the mo! So, less of the chatting, lets get some pics!!

New Rev counter with shift light! Most of the time i'm revving OFF of the standard dash so needed a bigger counter!

Needed some more cold air in, so re-locate the number plate to the bonnet, cut some holes, and hey presto!

Also in the previous 2 photos you may have noticed a lack of passenger wing mirror! I don't look in it, so why have it! Plus its more weight!!

Again another weight issue, time to cut the inside door skin out! Just needs another coat of Hammerrite and we'll be fine! Oh, and typically it started raining as soon as the paint brush came out!!

Cobra Suzukas went back in, I was going to put my Evolutions in, but they're toooooo much for rallying really! So they are for sale! ?500 for the pair.

And finally a random shot of the engine bay!

So, getting there!! Nearly ready for the first event of next year, Regency Stages at Brean Leisure Park. Last weekend of January if anyone wants to come and watch! Its both days.

Cheers

I think its only about ?5 per person per day to get in and spectate! Its a great weekend, expensive for us competitors but still a great weekend!
My entry form came through yesterday, was posted off this morning!!
Cant wait! I've always wanted to compete there.
Oh, and its not exactly far to travel either really Jack!!

Yes, Chris: She is definitely going to the 'Ring next year. As long as I'm not rallying of course! The rallying will take priority next year!

Scott: Seats are still for sale, Neil was interested in my Suzukas but they're now back in the rally car as you can see!

I've still got quite a few bits for sale guys, so just contact me if you need anything!

Is it legal having the number plate stuck on the bonnet?

I am assuming its a sticker?

Yeh good point - you do see a LOT of mx5's with the stickers on the bonnet.

You'll never fit your ass in them if they're standard width Scott. LOL :D

With reference to the number plate on the bonnet, all it narrows down to, is if I end up doing a Multi Venue event, which i will do as its in the championship next year, if I have a 'mishap' on one of the stages and loose the front bumper, i'm still legal to drive on the road as the number plate is still there (hopefully intact) on the bonnet!

Plus i'm also going to have a small one on the bumper anyway!
