just brought me lad his first nova sr he well pleased only prob is that who we brought it off said the choke was playing up
baisicly the car idels very up and down as in will tick over between 1500 and 2000 revs the car runs fine but for this

when started from cold the car runs at about 2000 revs even when warm revs still up in this range so would i be best in replaceing carb if so any one got one cheers from a new member :lol:

Right mate, look at all the hoses going into the Carb, chances are 1 is either off or Cracked and letting Air in/out. Simple as. Give that a shot and see how you get on.

yea try checking all the pipes to the carb my vacume pipe always falls off this makes my engine revvs all over the place. or you could try altering the idle screw down the back of the carb, that will lower the idle if all the pipes are ok, ther is a plate with a hole in it down the back, flat head screw driver thru that, then i think its a gold screw that alters it
