Clutch went bang!

I was drivin today stuck in a huge traffic jam, my clutch and brakes were getin very squeeky. Anyway, i got my speed up and on the way home after the hold up, i put my clutch to the floor and there was a big sort of bang/snap, the clutch still works but only if you really really force it down with your toes. Does this mean anything?

Reply ASAP cos i got work in the mornin and i dont want to look a prick standin there with a clapped out nova, what would it do to theier repuitation!

i had a 7 day old borbenbeck clutch go snap on me..found it to be in 4 peices held together by the coper wire ring.! had to split the gear box to get it out..what a messs

SOUNDS LIKE THE CLUTCH IS SHAFTED, BUT JUST CHECK THE CLUTCH CABLE ISN'T FRAYING OR HAS PULLED THROUGH THE ADJUSTER BEFORE YOU PULL THE GEARBOX OUT, IT'S WORTH A LOOK.
