Right, I've recently bought a 1.4SR nova van and would like to know what engine mods I can do without breaking the bank.
Its already got a Weber 32/34 DMTL carb, a full stainless exhaust. I have a blydenstein B+ head in my room lol. I was told when I bought the car that when the engine was taken out to respray the engine bay, it was reconned.
Only things I can think of to get are
Fast Road Cam
Weber Twin 40's
Are there any other options?
Cheers
Tom

hey tom.
Suprised you havn't got round to slapping on that head yet.
It would make sense to do it at the same time as the cam though and boy you should notice the difference then.
Twin Webers i'd wait until cam and head is on as they will work to their best then.
with a fast road cam and that setup you should have a 50+% increase in power over the standard sr engine.

Hi mate, I've was desperate to put the head on my last car but I didn't want to waste and wear it down on an old 100k+ engine! Now I've got a more than sound base I am going to put the head on very soon.
What cam would be best suited to use with the setup, and would I be ok getting a cam suited to running with twin 40's before I put them on too?
What bottom end mods are worth doing for the money?
With 40s i would go with at least a 285 cam.
If not a 300deg duration.
I would add all the mods in one go, not fit one thing here and one thing there.
The performance increase will seem more then too
