a derivative of that system was suggested for the transit, but it was removed becuase with the sensors we had we couldnt get it to sit at the right distance from the car infront that the van drivers are used to..... couldnt get them closer than about 3" lol

I understand the system in the Merc didnt work 100% but it still put the cars brakes on, where a human being would have not been able to respond & the accident would have been worse.
