IM PAYING TWO PEOPLE ONE A MACHANIC FOR VAUXHALL N THE OTHERS GOT A 2LTR NOVA TO FIT A 2OXE LUMP INTO MY NOVA FOR ABOUT ?500. ALL I GOT TO DO IS TAKE THE NOVA AND THE CAR WITH THE 2LTR TO THEM AND THEY WILL DO EVRY THING TO GET IT RUNING.
IS IT A GOOD DEAL OR NOT? I DONT WANT TO DO IT MYSELF COS IV NEVER DONE ANY THING LIKE THIS, AND THE KIT IS PRETTY EXSPENSIVE I HEAR.
ALSO IF YOUV GOT A 2LTR NOVA COULD YOU TELL ME HOW MUCH ITS COST YOU AND THAT KIND OF STUFF? THEY SAID THEY WILL MODIFY THE DRIVE SHAFTS, DOES THAT SOUND NORMAL.
BY THE WAY THERE NOT PUTING IT IN MY GTE BUT PROBLY A 1.2I WHEN I GET ONE. THANKS FOR THE HELP....

dont know much, but try asking around your self see what prices you get, have you taken into account the welding and strengthening you will need in the engine it self

caps lock is next to the A key, otherwise stop leaning on the shift key.

you "dont" need the welding, but its seriously recomended.

?500 is too much imho. You should be paying about ?2000 to fit it TOPS esp if your supplying the engine etc.
have you got the right drive shafts and inner CV joints?

I wouldnt fit one without stitch welding at least!! If you dont I imagine it will last a few months before it pushes the strut tops through or rips the front end off

Mines had a good 8 months of abuse now with xe and xe with carbs and cams and still looks the same as when I got it. Might have just got lucky :D

depends what that 500 includes, if it includes welding fitting it, wiring it up, making the exhaust up for it ect.. then its not bad. But dont get it done without welding, and ideally you want stiffer mounts so you dont bend your rad in half lol

if you have ever seen a 2l nova on standard rubber mounts you'll notice that the engine moves alot, the manifold will hit the radiator and the inlet manifold will twat the bulk head. Mainly because you dont exactly have much room in the engine bay.

Ive seen loads of 16v Nova's built without welding and never seen any torn open, even seen the German Phase 5 turbo and thats never been welded.
