My first lap of the september trip, and my 6th ever lap (i went on to do another 8 after this) So please excuse any daft lines. Alot of the dodgy corners are me letting cars that caught me past.
Will eventually be on www.fuc kyeah.co.uk but i thought i'd post it here for some winter viewing.

Jesus keith!!! You need some practice on basic racing lines, no offence like, i'm not talkin learning the ring inside out, but just taking a better line through the corners would knock probably a minute off that lap time!!!
Great vid Keith
Engine sounds awesome :)
Thouroughly enjoyed watching that, top video Keith.
One small thing though. Lose the bloody air freshner next time, it was getting right on my tits LMAO
(does make a good G meter for the corners though i suppose!)

Oli, Before my trips to the ring, i have had no previous karting or track experience, and this was my first time on since the may trip, where i only did 4 laps.
I hold my hands up and say i'm shit, and i aim to improve.
The ignorant guy from our hotel in may was there on this trip, and took us out to learn track lines, mostly the ones best for the ring. It knocked about 30 seconds off Jolems times, and he did a 8.55 lap, in a less powerful, heavier car than yours. (this is not a dig, its showing how easy it is to improve with a good teacher)
Unfortunatly my car wore a big end, and altho was driveable, wasnt worth putting back on track, so i didnt get to try it!
So i agree, learning the lines is key!

cool, must of been a good trip.
If i ever went think i'd spend a weekend on Forza just 'learning' the basic track layout, there's so many corners and different speeds to take them etc.
Think you practically need to live to get to know it fully.
Yeah, i'm only used to road use so i think a few Trips to the Aughadewy Track is the order of the Day for us both Keith. But it does look like fucking mental Crack. How come you didn't strip the interior before going racing.
Probably as he had to drive about 1000 miles to get there!

At nurburgering its really difficult to take the racing line, when suicidal people on motorbikes overtake you not just on straights, but on corners. On one lap i did there i had to drive off the track, on to the grass to avoid knocking into an idiot on a bike, im really not suprised so many of them die on that track.
Probably as he had to drive about 1000 miles to get there!
 !!!

I do it everyday!!
1000 Miles everyday round Ireland, i think your lying.
dod, you seroiusly have your car that stripped and have no cage, your mental mate,
your engine sounds nice kieth, shame its in a heavy nova or it would be putting in some good times,
sounds like it needs a plate diff tho
Cage due in Feb. And yeah, 10000 miles a day is accurite. Honest......

Not sure what weight my nova would be, but its got a full interior, components, 6x9's, headunit, and i even carried loads of tools in the boot, spare wheel etc on all my laps.
I remember having 4 people in the car, olly in the back, going for a meal in the evening, and planting it down into town and got a comment from a shocked olly "this thing is superb, nice comfy retrim, looks good, has a small 1300 engine, and still pulls very quickly with 4 people!!"
I guess i have an all round car. Its decent on track, fun on the road, looks good for the shows, and i can still wear a shirt and tie and drive it to work.
i'd love a diff, would help alot! However i've decided i wont buy a diff until i've got an XE pushing over 200bhp built.

because without the interior trim, (eg back seats especially) the car gives you less protection, i know its only platic and fabric, but rather a plastic door card hit me in the side rather than a window mechanism
I really dont think its gonna matter if you have interior trim or not if something hits you from the side, you're still fucked.
