Right, bit of a mongrel, 1800 cav tb, 1300sr manifold, 1400se head and a 14nv block. Put it all together and it runs fine, has a shedload mor power than the old nv engine, but it idles at between 2.5 and 3k, hot or cold.
Unplugging the CTS made no difference, so it obviously knows its hot.
Ive removed the vandla proof cap and wound down the throttle stop right in in an effort to lower it, it went down a couple of hundred rpm, but then stopped changing, something else is holding it high
I removed the ICV and cleaned it with carb cleaner and reoiled it. It was fully out when removed, I pushed it in gently and pulled out again, but it came apart. Got it back together and put it back in, again, no change.
Anyone got any ideas why the feck its sitting soooo high?
