The Irish Government wants to Ban all tinted Windows and Loud exhausts in a bid to stop boy racers in their tracks, and in the long term phase them out altogether. From Jan 06, all tinted windows and loud exhausts are an automatic NCT (National Car Test) failure. Apparently nobody in the Government knows the difference between a Car Enthusiast and a Boy Racer or Joy Rider.

So what about cars that come out the factory with tinted windows? And imprezas, evos etc - they've got loud exhausts (at the moment in the UK you can fail the MOT for having a louder than standard exhaust its just most testers let it go)
