Ello :D

At the mo i've got a 1.2 carbed engine, A mates said he might be able to get hold of a 1.4 bottom end, its out of an astra, he said its the same as a 1.4 nova bottom end, would my top end fit on the 1.4 bottom end? and what other mods would i have to make to conpensate? if any? :?

id suggest a 1.3 twin choke carb and 1.3 inlet manifold to make things a little better with that head.

you either want a pierburg 2e3 or a weber 32/34 DMTL

you will need a 1.3sr inlet manifold for both of the above, (not the 1.2 one you have.)

Yep, i've still to claim a 1.3 inlet, could do with a better carb as mine still giving me problems anyway, has anyone got any ideas on sorting the broken mount on that auction? preferably within 2 hours and 50 mins

Yea, a new mount

Depending what the mount is made out of, could weld it, if its steel.

Its probably made out of alloy, and not steel. Which may be a problem for welding it.

Alloy can be braised(sp) can't it? :?

or would soldering work, or would the solder just melt?
