V6 in a Nova is awkward not impossible but you need to do a hell of a lot more work than a xe. Only you can choose depends what you like driving.

Sorry but how can you give some input when you have no idea what both the engines are like

I would say if your affter easy big power gains and on a budget etc, then try 1.6 8v on twin carb's fist off,as they are proven to work very well,or if you have more chash to splash then go for the c16xe or x16xe 1.6 16v small xe engines, not so easy to tune but will keep the hendling better,or go full on xe with tb's like i have.

wouldnt bother with the v6 just too much messing for not a lot of gain over the c20xe.

yes granted theres more bhp and lbft but at what coast, the xe is bad enough on udersteer with poor suspesion set ups ect,so the extra weight of the v6 hanging even more so over the front axle is bound to be a lot wose no?

Like i told you on msn mate, the V6 is a inferior engine, not very tuneable and crap handling in such a small car.

XE over V6 any day. Unless you are putting it in the back.

big difference to it being fitted into a calibra and a nova, the calibra is 4x4 for a start and weighs about twice as much.

I take it rudeboy69 relates to your attitude. No need to call anybody infantile names.

how are you with tools/bodging?

if yout not too hot then go for the 20 XE conversion as its a piece of piss. if you like a challenege and have a bit of intellect then go for the V6, but unless you do it properly the XE will be a better all round engine to the V6 in the front of a nova.....

although id properly recomend a 1.6 16V on TB's if you want a nice engine lol
