Did this for my local site, but thought i might share it here too :)

As bought, ?525 12 Months MOT, 6 months Tax, 70,000 miles, 2 lady owners, woman used to use the car to take her kids to school, so here's how it started my ownership - a 1991 J Reg Vauxhall Nova Spin in Flame Red(lol)..

Then the car went into RKG for some body work, this consisted of a smooth boot, delocked doors, full GSi Replica upgrade, rear number plate located, and general smoothing and colour coding, in a lovely Porsche 911 Turbo Blue (Porsche Irisblau)

Then as it came out of the bodyshop on lowly 3 spokes

Everyone then winged i needed new wheels, which wasn't far from the truth, so quite obviously I had to go for the "only" Nova wheel, the Speedline Alessio 2

Then the next weakness of the car was unearthed, the tapping 1.0 engine, that was on its last legs after me driving it for 6 months, and two 400 mile round trips at 80mph motorway speeds...so out went the 1.0

Then after some cleaning up of the bay, out came the welder to strengthen the front end, this was done by good old dad in our garage, after this a coat of blue paint was applied..

Then the next chapter of the story, sadly written off before was mr yaldens 2.0 16v Astra Estate, seemed fitting that the heart of that car were to live on in mine, so then all the bits were sourced to fit the 2.0 16v C20XE engine, originally from a calibra.

And then the engine bay was tidied up, given a small clean and this is how it looks now, taken at the vospers open evening...

Its got a GSi interior now

And as the beast looks now:

Still so much more to do! Hopefully soon a new back box will be going on, and then later on I want coilovers, need to do some saving first for those! Then a cage and carbs later on ;)
