g/f told me this am (sunday) she wants to go see Robbie Williams in concert next year, an the tickets were on sale from yesterday at 09.00 so i go on all the sites i know of to buy tickets an now they are all sold out!
an already they're being sold on ebay for twice the original price!

so the queston has to be asked, why not say anything yesterday am when there is a chance i could have got hold of some for face value??!!

Mate - this is one thing that really annoys me - concert prices . I,ve seen hundreds of gigs and thrown thousands down the pan in adoration of bands / artists. I remember buying Bon jovi ( hanging head in shame - shite band ) for ?30 each , only to find they were ?6 each on the gate cos of poor sales . Then a week later buying Pink Floyd ( oh my god if they tour again sell everything to see em - they are gods ) for ?17.00 only to find on the day the touts knockin em out at ?750!!
Some bands play games on sale release , they know the touts buy em on mass on release date , therefore there becomes a shortage and promotes the gig. The artist never REALLY tries to stop the touts DO THEY ?? The Prodigy are a prime example . They could have sold any concert hall or arena 100x over but always relied on shortage to promote .Its called scare tactics . Its a shame cos the Prods REALLY KICK IT !! The Sex pistols took a more honest approach to this form of advertisment . They,d book halls sell shed loads , then just not turn up - the result , ? Twice as many would be there for the next show . Indeed they would ADMIT to ripping people off. As johnny Rotten said "have you ever thought you were being conned ?" There is however one law to always be followed with concerts - NEVER let the stewards let you in without giving you back half the ticket or stub . If they have the whole ticket , as the gig starts they sell it outside for 10x the value - I took a right kicking for arguing with a steward for my stub at Slayer in 87...but thats another story ......
I know any concert or act your into may well be worth the effort in pounds for that personel concert vibe - but the real truth is how deep is your pocket > Is it really worth it just to watch some prat ponce about ( and in some of my experiences ) shatter some dreams and illusions . It could be a tout or legit promoter , but in the end concerts nowadays are silly expensive. But , it is your choice - I have heard loads of good things about the Williams boy ...it seems he does command a crowd . If you go i hope you,ll come home hoarse knackered and feeling well emotional ...always a good sign that ...
The last gig I went to was at Brixton Academy...it was The Kings of leon . I only went cos the wife reckons em to be the dogs danglers ...what really hurt was the beer price - ? 3.00 for a can of red stripe !! If you go to the williams gig - make sur your munted before he comes on - it,ll save you on 2 things - 1 if he,s crap . 2 . on silly water ......lol
Good luck and I hope you have a far out time ...BUT for what you need to to do for last chance hope of tickets ...( I presume youve tried booking agents - Ticketmaster ect ..? ) find a company that does concert tickets and travel.....check even the classical outlets - you may be surprised , this was the only way I got to see the Floyd - 21 , 000 tickets for each gig running for 14 nights gone at ?30 per ticket on last tour - all sold out in 1 hour.......... good luck.

it was probably a challenge for you, to get tickets after they have already sold. If you cant then your just not man enough for her. And any way he is a complete tosser
