I-River MP3 player

Hi chums,

Anyone got one?

What they like?

worth getting over an I Pod (or are both machines pretty much of a likeness).

Just want something that plays MP3's (or similar) or lets metransfer my cd's onto it.

Anyone recommend anything (about ?!50 max)

alright ade,

i presently own neither, looking at both, and have mates that own either of these little beasties.

the i river has had no problems, though it does require the Creative software to interface with the pc. bit of a pain in the rear end if you like borrowing mp3's of your mates.

the ipod works fine without i tunes, though on installation itunes will try and hijack your pc and record all new stuff as m4a file formats that nothing else can read. oh and when they crash like another mate of mine's did you have to send it off to Ireland or Belgum and run up about ?30 worth of phone calls.

still not made my mind u considering all of this, thought presently the i river is just ahead.
