Which cav engine?

Your best off with a 1.4SR cam in your nova engine, or a gte/gsi one if you cant get hold of a Sr one.

http://www.novaload.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=107315 1.2i guide in there

and in the main tech page, you will see an FAQ post from wisewood, there are various engine tuning guides there. there should be a 1.4 one there.

Tht 1600 Cam will help a little bit, but as said, get the GTE one, you dont need the housing, your own will work

Stick the lot on your own car, it'll help the exhaust flow and release a few more Horses.

nice, but i think il have to get a gsi manifold as i dont think the gte manifold has that sensor thing in it!
il have to check.
Oh and i just won a piper fast road cam on ebay brand new, so hopefully that should be great for my car!
thanks for the help

Only the late gsi (c16se) engine will have the lambda sensor hole in the manifold.
Get the manifold off a nova sri, they all have the sensor in the manifold.

The standard gte exhaust wont really improve things too much, the only part that differs from your exhaust is that it has a twin branch downpipe, which should help gas flow, but the system is the same.
And the pipe bore size is the same on all novas.

You would be best off getting a 2"bore aftermarket system for a gsi/sri/gte, as the silencers will be a straight through type, and the increased pipe bore will help.
