I'd love to say that this post will send a message to the young people out there that think they can stick a large engine in their car with little or no experience and handle it.

Unfortunately this will fall on deaf ears because they all think "It'll never happen to me" or believe they are awesome drivers.

It's a shame what has happened to the car, but I guess young drivers + powerful cars = the after pictures.

thing is the tire could pop on any car, i heard of a family car poping doing 70mph on the motorway the other week with a little kid in the car all survived luckily though, out of all the 2litre cars a nova has gota be the most scary coz it has teh shittest safety for a start for having that much speed and power, but you got to love the 2litre turbo hopefully one day i will go that way

and if it was jus a general poped tire be glad you sold it when you did otherwise it could have been you doing that

IT WAS ALL DOWN TO THE NEW OWNER DOING BURNOUTS ETC THE POLICE DID HIM FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING AND TWO BALD TYRES, IT WAS LUCKY HE DIDNT HIT ANY ONE ELSE. IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES WHEN I WENT TO COLLECT IT FROM THE RECOVERY FIRM. MIND YOU I ONLY PAID ?100 TO GET IT BACK.

it was a lovely car when you owned it.

You've bought it back then? So what are you planning on doing with it?

Salvage what you can and put into a different shell?

Bluddy ell m8 that Astra ,s gorgeous .........
I,m so sorry the nova got ruined ,indeed it too was a beaut...no wonder you became emotional

The title of this thread made me smile tho - Before and after ...reminds me of a remark I made the other night to the wifey after a lazy bout of nookie - I just asked ( instead of did the room move for you then ?) - " how was that then pet al - did the old fanny bomb go off then ??"

The reply was swift - and painful ....in fact I wont be riding a push bike for some time to come ...

ROFL.

...Your poor wife. 1) for being asked that and 2) for you telling a lot of strangers on the Internet about it.
