engine trouble nackered or not please help have a new prolem

cars been stood a few month when u start it it kinda thumps n judders as if the choke isnt pulled out when u put foot down it still does it only faster it still the same even when warm

poured fuel down carb when running made different change plugs n rotor n diz cap still no diference

do u think it could b seized water pump or may b piston rings

or could it b a fyeling problem or could it b because fuel or water pump is seized

Sounds like a confusing one,

do the revs die when you set off?
did it have a service before you left it? maybe the timings belts out
does it back fire?
are the Ht's connected in the right sequence?
did anything happen before you left it? maybe the camshafts bent, or somethings not sitting right in the cams area :?

i bought it crashed but it drove fine since then i ve replaced all front end it wont drive as it doesnt actually rev it jus kinda thumps like its wanting choke out even with foot down the only thing i can think of is 1 of the screws wich holds vacum advace on to dizzy is missing could it b sum thing 2 do with that .if water pump was siezed would engine still run

It wont be your fuel pump, your engine wouldn't start at all, i wouldn't imagine the water pump because its mechanically driven, have you checked you haven't got a knackered dizzy? other than that i'd think its your cams :?

dizzy is mechanicly driven 2 though so how can it b knackered its had new cap an arm

i was thinking maybe it could b a stuck vavle but would engine still run if it is , by run i mean u can lean lean through window turn key an it will idle well its more of a thump than a tick over

or could it b fuel related carb or pressure

its a j reg 1.4 sr on standard pierburg carb

New leads, and give it a servicing, Maybe the Carbs Choked up and needs a good clean. What kinda Filter have you on it?

standard filteri was thinkin maybe the carb
if a vavle is seized will it still start up with out having 2 give it throttle

dunno mate is ur timin set up properly? the only way i can think of is by takin head off n checkin bt im sure there is an easier way. u cleaned ur carb out? leaads on right sequence?

clean carb it starts now but engine sounds as u have still got key turned an r running on coil it kinda squeks an it idles iraticly its well down on power

its had new diz cap rotor arm n plugs stripped n clean carb
