Decided to go down the 20XE road, as its 150ish bhp off the shelf, so to speak.

Decided to try and do a good build of it, and not just slap it in.

Bought rand New Suspension 60mm, New V6 Brake Setup, Calipers, discs and pads. All Samco hoses, few still to come. New Exhaust system, Digidash, Heated GSi Interior back in, New mounts, full engine bay respray after stitch welding done, painted inner arches, and interior floor, was a carbed one before so new petrol lines through too, new gsi radiator, new kenlowe slimline fan. etc...

Coming along now, also had the sprak plug cover powdercoated, looks very odd colour in the pictures, its slightly darker than breeze blue in real life.

Theres not too much left to do, wiring of fuel pump, which I cant get my head around. because of the cat 1 alarm. its done something to something somewhere, remote central locking now too, at last!, theres something wrong with the accelerator cable too, not too sure whats wriong with it, but its very loose.

Anyway hope you enjoy, I know its something youve all seen before but its my go at building one.

looks ace that fella

one thing thou, get the heat sheild back on the exhaust. its designed to stop the heat from melting your gasket seals.

the accelerator cable looks like its about right.
also have a look to see if your bonnet catches your bonnet. might need a slight adjustment

Lol about the discs. They will be glowing next year when i take the thing on the track or down to the pod.

Got the chrome heatshield thing in the boot, need to do a few little wiring bits down the front end before i put that back on though.

The bonnet ctahc isnt on at the moment, thats why its sitting high.

Ben, my computer has more viruses and diseases than most Essex girls. lol

Cheers for the comments

what i ment to say was this,

when you have the xe engine in, it sometimes lifts the engine up higher and as such it catches on your bonnet's under side.
