Ok!

i have just got my self 2 12" rockford fosgate subs as i have heard these are rather good!

the guy said they are 1000w each!

but what the hell do i need to power them and what price range am i looking at!

You want an amp thats capable of running 500W RMS ideally. Alpine MRD-M1005 is a good amp and could handle them both if they're capable of 2ohm operation. You can find them on ebay, expect to pay around ?250.

The Sony monoblock XM-D100P5 can do 900WRMSx1 @ 2ohms so should handle both your subs. Can be picked up on ebay for about ?100.

Depends how the subs can run really, what resistance they give if they can be run in series or parallel etc. Have you got a user manual for the subs? Should tell you in there...

Does it tell you the resistance in series? I'd expect it to be 2ohm...
