ok i allready have a ford fiesta zetec-s and am looking for something a bit more fun and something i can use for trackdays, my mate has just baught a 1.3nova sr had quite alot of engine work done and it flies, will outpull my z-s to around 70 and handles amazingly, so thts what im after now,
what sort of mods could i do to the engine to improve acceloration, not to bothered about top end as it will be used mostly on track, my reason for not getin nethin bigger than the 1.3 is im only 17, dont ask about the insurance on the z-s lol
P.S iff anyone knows of a 1.3 sr for sale for pretty cheap pm me
thnx fraser

twin carbs is a definate then if its going to be ued as a track car, can get good performance off them. Also its not always about what the engine but how it handles, get some good suspension on and brakes and gut the interior.

If insurance is an issue then engine mods are going to cause problems.

You could however insure it as a track only car, and trailer it there... or if its track only, is insurance actually needed?

the 2lt ones will go straight on, suspension wise there are lots available. Coilovers being the best but you get what you pay for in that respect. Twin 40's carbs they came on 1.3 nova sports as standard, you can pick up a full set up for only a few hundred.
