Manta 400 mirrors

I recently bought some Manta 400 door mirrors to fit to my Nova, but when i came to fit them this morning, the base plates i got with them don't seem to line up with the holes in the door :? , i know people on here have got them fitted and i just wondered if they need to drill extra holes in the door and also glue them down?

Best bet to to either make new base plates ot mount them to the door below where they'd usually mount. Just blank it off with a Piece of Plastic, Aluminium, Carbon fibre, whatever.
