hi,
i have 1200 carb'd nova sitting at home and thinking bought doing road rallies in it... i was wondering if you could fit a larger head of a 1.3/1.4 nova sr to the 1.2 block?
also looking at fitting a 1.6 camshaft is this do-able and worth it?
many thanks
chris

ps. anyone selling a 4point or 6point bolt in roll cage pm me.

yes you could fit a 1.6 camshaft, and it would give some increased gains.

In terms of the head, the 1.2 is pretty good. It's better than a 1.4SR head, not sure if an MPi head would fit.

You could also look into changing the carb for a webber 32/34 item, or a pair of Twin 40's (webber dcoe, or dellorto DHLA's)

Look in the technical tuning guides under 1.2, that will give you all the answeres you need

You might find that a nova gte cam wont have the lobe on to drive the fuel pump.
Mine didn't have it.
But some injection engine cams do have it.
Just check to make sure.

are the inlet ports on the 1200 carb'd head the same as the 1300 head?

anyone know for road rallying, whether these can be used, or does the air intake have to remain standard?

It looks like it would be off a class 2 autograss car, since there looks like there is a restrictor plate bolted where the two bits of the manifold bolt together.

i fitted one of the cams and it did have the lobe to drive the fuel pump but it couldnt have been hardened or somethink cos it has only been in for 3 weeks and has worn the lobe of the cam.

in a way it was lucky i had to have the cam out cos i would have never thought that that would have worn and would be changing everythink wondering why i was still getting no fuel. so has anyone else had this happen?
