Recaro interiors

I'm quite keen on replacing my GTE's front seats with genuine Recaro's before my retrim, does anyone know the best car to get these from such as Astra GTE's, sporty (ha!) Fords, or Golfs and what is the difference between them?

Also i'm possibly interested in finding some half leather ones, but I've haven't got a clue where they could come from

Escort/fiesta turbo recaros are the best!
Not too hard to retrim either.

The Capri 2.8i Special uses VERY nice Half Leather Recaros.

The Capri ones are dead easy to fit too as are the Escort RS Turbo ones.....they just have four flat feet that you use to bolt them to the floor.
They're interchangeable from one side to another too unlike most car seats.

If you want a pic of what the Capri seats look like, let us know 'cos I've got old Ford brochures which include the 2.8i Capri.

All are VERY rare though and can be expensive......over ?300 for a set of Escort seats for example, but you can get some bargains.....I saw some locally for ?120 from a 1990 scort turbo.

get some ripped ones for like ?40 ( seen a few sets that cheap) then retrim them.

freak is right, if you are gonna retrim them you might as well get ripped ones on the cheap... or half leather ones with ripped non leather bits... to reduce the price of them.

Done it many a time-remove a vital bit from something before you pay for it (if you do ;)) and then tell them its broken and get it for a few quid lol.
