Quad Conversion Rear Lamps

Bit of advice i will be wireing them up soon and want to know the legality or wot looks best brake lights ant the top and indicators below or vice versa i have a fog light to fit in the bumper and am not fitting a reverse light. Let me know wot u think guys and p.s pics help :wink:

Ali, firstly i think it looks better with the brake lights on the bottom. (also buy a set of led brake lights and the bulbs turn orange, like in the pic)

Secondly why bother with the rear fog. I'd rather have a reverse so people know ur reversing. Mine are wee side repeaters with white bulbs on my back bumper.

i just bolt on a rear fog for my mot then take it off again.

Theres mine

Indicators are silva tec bulbs so no orange shows!

As for reverse, not needed for mot! if it has one fitted fitted it has to work but if there isnt one it doesnt matter

Fog is required for MOT howevere!

Mine is the lowest red lamp on the bottom of r hand side of bumper

other two bands of red either side a4re reflectors! Aslo needed for MOT

i had the brake lights on the top. only have 1 pic with them on though.
also had a couple of cheap lights from tweeks to pass the MOT.
i think its definetly ideal to have a reversin light.
also had silva tec bulbs.

Thats a good point but i can't really remember the last time it was so fog i wanted to put it on. lol.

I'm sure i've seen that black nova in redline recently with a "i'm gay" regi on it.

Kool guys think i will go with stop lights on the bottem indicators up top stick ma fog on for the mot and un bolt it the rest of the time as i dont want to many lamps on the back :wink:

Also was toying with the idea of tinting the stop lamps red i think it would go good with the colour of the car (cosmic grey one day) :lol: wot yas think :roll:

They used to be red once over, now they come with both clear

Speak to quad conversions u may be able to get some red ones off them

yeah i think you can them in red off qc but if they say no, they're actually off a land rover so if you go to a spairs place they should sort you out. my mates just bought a load of clear ones in so i know they're the same.

I got told that QC sourced the lense units from a bus manufacturer but thats only what i was told.

yeah seen them on buses too. they're a universal light realy, thats why both busesand land rovers have them. seen them on caravans too. don't which year though m8, take a pic etc to show.
look at the more lights mid way down i think they're the same ones too.

that the only combo ya can have though ain't it. ya carn't have two red etc due to the indicator would then show up red. one red and one clear would be different. would be kinda bmw'ish.
