If I get the twin reverse lights in the e-marked rear clusters, where shall I put a fog light?? (flush tailgate, and number plate in bumper)

A shop said:
have a clip on a fog light which folds back underneath the bumper when u dont wanna use it.

HOW FEASIBLE IS THIS, & HOW IS IT DONE??
(the guy didnt know how to do it!)

Im stuck in the same situation sid. I have a flushed tailgate, number plate in rear bumper and twin reverse lights in my clear light clusters. I have though about this for 6 months and I need to come up with a solution soon as MOT is looming !!!

I am going to get either, 206 rear fog light and mould it into the bumper somewhere, or a fiesta mk1 fog light and stick it on the bottom for mot and take it back off after wards. Its actually illegal to not have a fog light so if the old bill spot you aint got one, your fooked. Ive not been spotted in the last 6 months or so but you have to have one for the mot.

C.A.R. in Slough mentioned the idea I wrote above. You cant put the 206 light in ur bumper as ur plate is there ...it would look too crowded mate, and its a BIG light!

I was thinking of moulding two Astra GTE one's either side of the plate ...?? not sure.

or shall I just save all this hassle and get one like David P, with the fog.
be easier wouldn't it?

it would be ! You don't have to get a diferent light, you can buy a red light bulb that will suffice as a fog light bulb and just disconnect the wire that tells the other light to come on and replace it with the fog light wire. Thats what I might do but I like having two reversing lights coz I have blacked out windows I can't see shit out the back when reversing in the dark so Ineed the two lights to see where the hell I'm going !!!

Thats a damn good point!! I didnt think of that! u gotta be seeing where u reversing to..
I will be tinting my windows in light smoke, not the full on effect,, want mine "stylish" hee hee! not gangsta black like urs!

How easy is it to take off the rear cluster?
You could just put the ONE old normal style back on for the MOT, and then change it back after.

u cud be eally clever and stick a switch in near the back light so that u could choose between either reverse or foglight.

how about mounting loads ov red led`s in around the reverse light lenses and useing them for foglights?

try it out on a standerd rear lense first

i was thinking ov doing this myself until i made my custom rear lenses and fitted my own foglight in

it would be very trick and get you plenty ov brownie points at png meets

U only need one led to act as a fog light. Mate is an mot tester and thats what he has on his boot. Sits just in the space between boot and light just before it goes in for mot.

Thats a good idea then... just have it wired up on a little LED and keep it in the boot. so its not fixed anywhere???
and when MOT due wedge it through the opening near light and shut boot so LED is sticking out???

(I just wanna be clear about things!)
