Theres not much that,ll rile me to violence ( other than banging either my head , clout my finger/thumb with a hammer , or stub me toe ) but this afternoon I nearly had a tantrum. I will have one more go at fitting a touring strip to wifeys bus - if I fail again and have to chuck another in the bin didums will come out to play........with a feckin crowbar....
What annoyed me more than anything is the poxy amount of this stuff you only get for ?6. In fact its one chance option - screw it up , and then back down the motor shop for another roll of it ...!!!!!
I,m more than tempted to buy a roll of the stuff , you used to cover blue peter projects in !!
I thought they were easy to apply.....
As in sunstrip? Eaaaaasy :p

how were you tryin to apply it? i didn't think ya could screw it up.
I did mine by wetting the winscreen, peel off the backing, apply film to windscreen, position in place, trim excess film with knife, then use a squeegee or windscreen wiper blade to remove any excess water and dry it 8)

Why not use sticky back fablon, 5m for a few quid in all good DIY stores. It dont matter if you mess up a few times. AND theres more chance of getting one to match the car. Hell you could even have a leopard skin one

To be truthful mate it wasnt the best day for doing it ...it was windy for a start - and cold. If the windows warm it goes on lovely.
You clean the front window , then spray a solution of washing up liquid and water on the area ...peel back the the paper and go to slap it on in place ...then the bloomin wind blows the thing folds on itself , creases and is ruined .
I dont think my nieghbours were too impressed with my use of language either . But stuff em !!
lol id have paid a profesional to do it
